Orin Swift Cellars, 2008 Saldo
"Saldo" refers to "balance on hand" or "from here and there", which is a great way to describe this wine. That is because the grapes for Saldo come from five different counties and more than 17 great vineyards.
The 2008 Saldo is a perfect blend of zinfandel with a touch of syrah and petite syrah. It is rich, ripe and full-bodied, with an aroma of black cherry. The tannis are soft but it has a large mid-palate.
Orin Swift Cellars other wines: The Prisoner, Mercury Head, Papillon and Veladora. Most of these can be found at Liquid Assets.
Dancing Coyote, 2004 Petite Sirah

Dancing Coyote has a big bold flavor of black brambly fruit and blackberry. It is full bodied with subtle tannis, with a long lasting finish. You will find hints of tobacco and leather that make it a spicy, mouth puckering experience.
